We were living here on Left Foot Lake Road for a little while before some friends of ours asked us to go swimming with them at . . . Left Foot Lake. Turns out it’s about two minutes from here and has a little sand beach for swimming purposes. So Silas got to go swimming for his first time!
He got in just fine; didn’t even act surprised when we transitioned from the beach to the water.
Enric took him out a little further and he had fun kicking his feet and kind of floating. He is very buoyant, probably because of his chubbiness.
Enric tried to convince me to come in all the way too, but it was not really hot enough to get so wet. We also learned about diapers and swimming, and why maybe a cloth diaper would be a better choice for that activity. He had fun though, and we have gone a few times since then as well. There is a creek that flows out of the lake that has a nice sandy shallow area perfect fot little munchkins that we also visited later on, but I did not have the camera on that trip. Hopefully we’ll get back there somtime this summer!

In Spain they would look at those round little legs and say, “Mira que jamonetes que tiene!!”
These photos are just precious.
I think he really knows how to “work” the camera!
Miranda, if you get any better at taking photos I am going to wish you join UE!

I’m so glad that Silas enjoyed the water! Looks like he was having a really good time with his Papa.
Thank you for a totally awesome weekend. We enjoyed every minute of it.
And thanks for sending these pix!
Love you,
Mama G.
