Archive for August, 2008

For some months now I have had a running list in my head of things that are being taught to parents these days that I would/would not do/think regarding my child.  Finally it has spilled into type. Realize that this is the condensed version; all of these have expanded thought and philosophy behind them, but these statements [...]

BIG tub bath

Up till a short while ago I was still giving Silas baths in his infant tub seat. At the house in Pembine our tub stopper had broken off (NOT our fault) so I had no choice.  Due to the fact that I am prone to exceptionally blonde moments, I did not know our tub here [...]

I happened to look up for some reason the other day, and was oh-so-pleasantly surprised!
There was a Stick bug crawling over our door! I so rarely see these, they are almost a bug-urban-legend. This may be only the second one I have ever seen in real life. I was dissapointed that Silas wasn’t old enough [...]

Swimming

We were living here on Left Foot Lake Road for a little while before some friends of ours asked us to go swimming with them at . . . Left Foot Lake. Turns out it’s about two minutes from here and has a little sand beach for swimming purposes.  So Silas got to go swimming [...]

Overdue Camping Pictures

Finally I have 13 seconds to sit and put up some long-overdue pictures! (Maybe even more than 13…)
[Forever ago] We had a cook out . . . sort of. It started out with this lovely hike in the woods near Tweleve Foot Falls.

It was Silas’s first time being in the woods and close to trees [...]
