Silas has reached a few quasi-milestones today:
This morning he woke up fussing, and I saw it was because he had rolled over in his sleep, but since he was still swaddled he couldn’t roll back. I don’t know how he rolled onto his tummy while swaddled in the first place… Lately he has been wanting to sleep on his side, which also doesn’t work too hot with swaddling. For naps I’ve kinda propped him on a pillow and that seems to make him happy, otherwise he twists himself around. I guess this morning though the twisting got him all the way onto his tummy. Don’t know how this is going to affect future sleeping happiness . . . ?
He also (somehow) managed to pull up today! I left him sitting on the floor next to my laundry basket while I went to get a snack (cinnamon muffin!) and when I came back he was hanging onto the edge of the basket with his feet on the floor!! It was funny though, because the basket was sliding along the floor so his feet where getting further and further behind him. He must have gotten up by a streak of luck; I tried to get him to do it again and he just ended up scootching forward but couldn’t get his feet under him.
No pictures because I was asleep when he rolled over and out of the room when he pulled up!
I tried to put up a VERY cute video, but apparently I don’ t know how to do that yet. Will try again later!
I had to laugh imagining him with his feet sliding out from under him!
Oh, it’s all fun from here. He will keep surprising you!!
wow Miranda, just reading this again, even after you told me is just wow! I can’t believe how strong Silas is, it is amazing!
Pretty soon you are going to have to Silas-proof your house!!
I wonder what other little tricks he has up his sleeve!!!
Love,
Mama G.
