Today is my grandma’s One hundred first birthday!
I remembered I had a few pictures of her from a LONG time ago that I could share.
She looks maybe one-and-a-half or two in this picture. I don’t know if we know for sure when it was taken, but it’s fascinating to think that this picture is 100 years old!
I’m not sure at all how old she is here. It was one of the first pictures I ever saw of Grandma when she was a young lady. It is rather odd to think of her as young… she once told me a story of going out dancing on a double date. So funny to think of my 100 year old grandmother out dancing!
Incidentally, when she got married they did not have any pictures taken at all. I think the issue was money, as it was around the Great Depression. She didn’t wear white either; her mother made her a green dress.
Here she is at her big 100th birthday bash from last year.
This year she did not want much of a celebration, but she did want to go out to lunch, so Mom and Dad took her to Dennys. Happy Birthday Grandma!

What a nice memorial to Grandma!! Wish she could see it (wish she could see ANYTHING!!). That was so sweet of you to put those pictures up and tell a little bit about her.
Here’s to 102!!!
Love ya,
Mom
